This project was created with the intention to practice High to LowPoly Workflows, combined with design and creation of a modular kit for Environment Art on the Roblox Platform. This kit utilizes best practices for optimization and flexibility for changes on the fly both in and outside of Roblox.
In Blender, I created a high poly variation of the wooden support beam, and sculpted it using some free-to-use stylized brushes. I then baked the final high poly model onto a low poly variation in substance painter.
In substance, I utilized the use of masks, filters, paint layers, and generators for painting details. I use a fill layer to determine the colors of each layer, making it easy to make different types of texture and color changes with ease.
This project took two days to complete, and was fantastic for solidifying my understanding of these methods and workflows.
